Thank you for the photo of her hand, that really helps. Here's an overview of everything we've agreed on for her ring. Could you read it through and confirm everything is correct? Once you do, we'll send you the payment link for the deposit.

*The ring*

An engagement ring for your girlfriend. She's an architect and loves gothic and art deco styles, with an old cathedral, vampire, old Europe feel. Cathedral details, but nothing over the top.

*Metal*

14k white gold, without rhodium plating. This gives the ring its natural deep, greyish colour, darker than silver. Strong enough to hold the stone securely and to keep the details fine and sharp. Depth is created with texture and finish: matte, textured areas next to high polish details.

*Setting*

Pointed, sharp prongs holding the stone. Elegant and architectural, not feral.

Centre stone

A dark green sapphire in a kite or hexagon shape, with an emerald cut. A one of a kind cut gem, sourced through our preferred supplier Misfit Diamonds.

*Accent stones*

One or two small black sapphire on each side of the centre stone, to frame it without distracting from it. No diamonds.

*Design*

Details around the ring, without crowding the stone. We choose the stone first, then design the ring around it. You'll receive a couple of sketches based on the kite or hexagon shape.

*Two tiered idea*

We focus on the engagement ring first, designed so a second band can be made to blend with it later.

*Ring size*

She was a 7.5 (US/Canadian sizing) a year ago, about 17.7 mm inside diameter. She has small, slender hands, so her size may be smaller now. You'll get her sized at a local jeweller before we start making the ring. Ask for the size in millimetres too, and mention the ring will have a fairly wide band.

*Budget*

Centre stone: around €800 to €2,500

Design and materials: around €3,500 to €4,000

Total: around €6,000 to €7,000

*Payment*

Deposit: 10% of the total budget, to reserve your spot

Stone payment: after we've chosen the stone together, before we order it

Final payment: once the ring is finished

*Planning*

Your ring will be finished in November or December 2027.
