Inspiration & Story

The Sword Shadowbox Ring belongs to the Curiosity Cabinet collection, a world inspired by occult symbolism, ritual artifacts and objects that carry power through restraint rather than excess.

This ring is designed as a shadowbox, a contained space that holds meaning beneath the surface. Beneath a coffin-shaped quartz stone lies a fully hand-carved and hand-engraved sword, etched directly into the silver. The quartz acts as both protector and lens, softening the imagery while allowing the symbol beneath to remain visible, layered and intimate.

The sword is a timeless occult symbol of protection, boundary-setting and inner strength. Encased beneath the coffin-shaped quartz, it takes on a quieter role: not a weapon raised, but a blade preserved, guarded and held in reserve. The coffin cut adds a subtle funerary undertone, reinforcing themes of mortality, vigilance and sacred restraint.

The ring band is more demure and stylized than other Curiosity Cabinet rings, giving the piece an elegant, understated profile. Its refined proportions make it ideal for stacking, while the symbolism allows it to stand confidently on its own.

Crafted using in-house digital and traditional techniques: sawing, filing, shaping, soldering, hand carving, hand engraving, stone setting, blackening and polishing. No 3D designing or printing was used in the creation of this piece.

Every element including the sword carving, shadowbox setting, coffin-shaped stone and stylized band is finished by hand to ensure depth, clarity and a refined occult character.
