Inspiration & Story

The Chatelaine of Mourning Pendant belongs to the Curiosity Cabinet collection. A world rooted in witchcraft symbolism, Victorian occult traditions, ritual objects and the language of hidden meanings.

This pendant portrays a Victorian mourning hand, sculpted as a relic of devotion and remembrance. Where a traditional chatelaine would carry practical tools, this piece replaces them with suspended gemstones, transforming the form into a symbolic talisman. From the hand hangs a garnet, a smokey quartz and a freshwater pearl, each associated with protection, grief, intuition and spiritual transition.

Two versions of this pendant exist. Each piece is slightly different in balance and detailing, making them individual ritual objects rather than identical duplicates. United by the same gemstones and symbolism, they function as kindred artifacts within the cabinet.

This piece is perfect for goth baddies, witchy collectors, Victorian mourning enthusiasts, cemetery vibe lovers and those drawn to occult symbolism.

Crafted using in-house digital and traditional techniques: 3D designing, 3D printing, casting, sawing, shaping, soldering, stone setting, engraving, blackening and polishing. This piece also includes benchworking techniques to create the gemstones bezels and the chains they hang from.

Every sculptural element including the mourning hand and gemstone drops is finished by hand to ensure depth, ritual symbolism and an aged occult character.
