Inspiration & Story

The Bloody Shield Earrings belong to the Nox Ex Libris collection, a world shaped by medieval fantasy, bookish symbolism and the dramatic aesthetics of knightcore and gothic storytelling.

These earrings take the form of two miniature shields, echoing the protective armor carried by warriors on the battlefield. The surface of each shield bears the marks of conflict, garnets set like droplets of blood.

Garnet has long been associated with warriors and travelers. In medieval folklore the gemstone was believed to offer protection, courage and vitality in times of danger. Here, the garnets symbolize both the brutality and the resilience of battle, the scars that tell stories of survival.
